Well, summer is officially over and we are now venturing into months where we don’t have our legs on full display. Sadly, this does not change the fact that when I look at the back of my legs while standing under overhead lighting, I see Cellulite!
There are a multitude of factors (aging, heredity, hormones, weight and gender differences in skin architecture) involved in determining whether or not those little dimples are showing on your body. The problem comes from a combination of three structures involving thin skin, pockets of fat, and the connective tissue bands which are found below your skin.
Working out may lessen the appearance of it but if you are genetically created a certain way it’s going to exist no matter what kind of shape you are in. While this little fact may sooth my feelings in regards to the endless amount of cardio, lunges, squats, etc. that I apparently do in vain…it doesn’t change the fact that I still want it to disappear!
So if you are one of the women who have to deal with those dimples glaring back at you every time you look into your full length mirror, let me assure you that there ARE solutions.
