What is HydraFacial?
HydraFacial MD is a medical grade skin resurfacing and rejuvenation procedure that offers immediate and noticeable results with absolutely no downtime at all. The HydraFacial treatment is designed to achieve similar results to microdermabrasion and laser exfoliation without the skin damage associated with those treatments. HydraFacial achieves results through gentle, liquid-based exfoliation rather than targeting and destroying skin cells to stimulate the body’s repair processes like other, more aggressive treatments.
How Does HydraFacial Work?
HydraFacial is a multi-step treatment that blasts the skin with specialized solutions to promote lasting results and healthy skin that includes: 1) Vortex Cleansing and Hydrapeel Exfoliation to remove dead skin cells and sebum from the surface through water-based exfoliation, 2) Pore Loosening, which involves infusing pores with a mild mix of salicylic and glycolic acids, 3) Pore Extraction, in which pore plugs and dirt are removed from the face through the cleaning and suctioning action of the HydraFacial applicator, and 4) Serum Fusion, in which the skin is infused with peptides, antioxidants, and hyaluronic acid.
The steps together are meant to completely clear skin while also infusing it with powerful serums to promote long-lasting skin health as well as immediate rejuvenation. There are a number of other treatments that can be added-on to your HydraFacial treatment: GlySal-a peel without the post peel scaling and flaking; Britenol-addresses pigmentation; Dermabuilder-anti-aging, softens fine lines and wrinkles; Red Light Therapy-for sun damage and skin repair; Blue Light Therapy-for acne; Growth Factor-helps to speed up skin repair.
Cost of HydraFacial
The cost of HydraFacial varies, since the procedure is a medical grade skin treatment and only performed by skin care professionals. Reasons for varied costs could include geographic location, the time allotted for the procedure and who is performing the procedure (a doctor or licensed aesthetician). As mentioned earlier there are also a number of add-ons which can affect the price of your HydraFacial, but sure to ask what is included in the cost of the treatment.
Be wary of extremely inexpensive prices, as doctors or aestheticians performing HydraFacial might be rushing through each procedure to make more money. At WIFH, the Basic HydraFacial, which takes 45 minutes, costs $200, while the HydraFacial Plus, which takes 60 minutes and adds a Gly/Sal Vortex Peel and CTGF Vortex Boost to address signs of aging, costs $275. You can also purchase a package of 3 or 6 treatments, which offers you significant savings (save $50 when you purchase 3 and $150 when you purchase the package of 6). Both are amazing options, and you can decide which is right for you with one of our medical aestheticians.
HydraFacial is perfect for getting ready for a special event or as part of an ongoing skin care regimen. HydraFacial is also customizable, and at WIFH we offer different add-ons for your specific skin needs. In fact, our medical aestheticians will perform a thorough skin analysis on your skin to choose the best serums specifically tailored for your skin type and concerns.
