It’s the time of year that fills nearly every woman with dread: shorts and swimsuit season. As the weather warms up, everybody knows that the time is coming to bare it all or at least your legs and hiding those dimply, ripply thighs will be near impossible.
What are your options? Cellulite Creams? They don’t work. Should you go on a huge juice fast? Offer a sacrifice to the gods of thinness?
Maybe you should just invest in a great long kaftan and call it another season. Instead of trying to hide it, maybe it’s time to look at dealing with your cellulite problems rather than hiding them.
Cellulaze: Not just a helper, but a real solution to your Cellulite
Cellulite procedures of the past all worked on the surface and required ongoing treatments to reduce the appearance of cellulite, Cellulaze is rapidly being referred to as a “game-changer” in the world of cellulite therapies.
Cellulaze is the first and only surgical procedure available to get rid of that pesky cellulite in only one visit. Additionally, the effects are long-lasting, unlike previous methods. Cellulaze is a fairly new procedure with only about six years of clinical data and patients continue to report blissful cellulite-free skin.
How Does It Work?
The Cellulaze procedure starts with the infusion of lidocaine under the skin to numb the area. A laser is used to melt the trapped fatty pockets aka the lumps. The laser is then used to cut the bands that are entrapping the fat and pulling the skin down creating the pits or valleys. In the video below, you can watch Dr. Kulkin perform the Cellulaze procedure on CNN.
The laser delivers a tremendous amount of heat and energy which is absorbed by the skin tissue igniting a healing process in your body. The body begins to over produce collagen and elastin to rethicken and tighten the skin. You are awake for the entire procedure with no pain.
There will be some mild drainage for the first 24 hours, remember the fat was liquified and some light hand expression was used. It’s not like liposuction where the fluid is suctioned out, so there will be some fluid drainage. Patients do have bruising post procedure and you will have to wear a compression garment for the first couple of weeks, a small price to pay for the results.
Patients have little to no trouble returning to their normal routines after one or two days. Results are gradual you will continue to see improvement over the next 12 months, but the results are well worth it and long lasting. We say long-lasting, because there is not enough clinical data for us to say permanent, but it could very well be permanent.
With long-lasting results and continued improvement over the course of the following months, it’s easy to see how this has become one of the most popular procedures in the United States. If you’re looking to have that perfect beach body, look at getting yourself to a specialist sometime in the fall and winter months or for sure within the first quarter ofthe year. That way, you have time to heal before revealing the new you, cellulite free, to your stunned friends and family. Prepare for gasps and maybe a whistle!
