Skin rejuvenation: it just sounds nice, doesn’t it? The idea of skin rejuvenation is very appealing, but which one do you choose? Which one is right for your skin type? Is there any downtime? And when will I see results?
Skin rejuvenation isn’t one size fits all. At WIFH, we recommend coming in for a consultation with one of our skin specialists to help determine which skin rejuvenation treatment is right for you based on your skin’s specific needs and your budget. Three of our most popular skin rejuvenation treatments are: Microneedling, Microdermabrasion, and Dermaplaning. Read on to find out more about each treatment type!
1. Microneedling (Rejuvapen)
Guess what? Looking your best doesn’t have to mean fillers or surgery. Yes! Youthful, healthy skin can be achieved by a combination of microneedling and an at-home skin care regimen of medical grade skin care products. Rejuvapen microneedling is not a painful procedure; it helps build natural collagen and also resurfaces the skin. This is a great option for anyone who wants to reduce the appearance of pores and acne scars. It also helps with texture and tone, bringing back that youthful glow. It’s great for any skin type.
Microneedling uses tiny needles to create micro-channels in the skin. These tiny wounds promote collagen and elastin production. After the procedure we infuse the skin with growth factors, which helps to speed up the collagen and elastin production allowing the skin to heal faster. As we mentioned this procedure is painless, a topical numbing cream is applied before we begin this treatment.
The number of treatments we recommend varies based on what you are trying to achieve. For a correction treatment to get rid of acne scars, refine pores, and lessen the appearance of fine lines for example, we recommend a series of four to six treatments spaced four weeks apart (more could be needed based on your skin’s condition).
However, for prevention, maintenance, or just to boost your skins appearance and give it a glow, we recommend one treatment two to three times a year. A single session costs $450, while a package of four treatments costs $1,800 including a post-procedure skincare kit, and a package of six treatments costs $2,550 including a post-procedure skincare kit. The post-procedure skincare kit helps optimize your results, so you can fully enjoy your glowing skin!
It’s easier to prevent aging and damage to your skin than it is to correct it. That’s why getting regular microdermabrasions should be on everyone’s to-do list. Microdermabrasion treatments exfoliate your skin, sloughing off layers of dead skin cells, makeup, product, and pollution allowing your skin to breathe and enabling the products you use at home to penetrate and work better.
There are different types of microdermabrasions, we have DermaSweep, which uses bristle technology. Traditional microdermabrasion uses messy crystals to sandblast the surface, whereas we use a bristle tip along with suction to remove dead skin and debris. After exfoliating your skin, we infuse it with a customized solution tailored to your skin’s needs. Whether you’ve recently done more aggressive treatments and now want to protect your investment, or if you simply want to come in for some routine maintenance, microdermabrasion is a fantastic option to rejuvenate your skin!
We recommend one treatment every one to three months, depending on your skin type. The cost of a single microdermabrasion treatment is $150, a package of three treatments offers savings at $375, and even more for six treatments which is $700. The more you buy in a package, the more money you save!
This is one of our aestheticians’ absolute favorite treatments. Dermaplaning is a type of manual exfoliation which removes all of the surface debris and vellous hair (peach fuzz) from your face, leaving your skin ridiculously smooth, dewy, and glowing. Despite what you may have heard, this will NOT make your hair grow back thicker and/or dark.
Using a small scalpel-like instrument, we remove the excess dry skin and peach fuzz from your face, which will leave your skin feeling smooth and refreshed. It also allows your skin to soak up all the good products you put on the surface. You’ll also notice your make-up will look smooth and flawless.
For dermaplaning, we recommend one treatment every four to six weeks. As is true with all skin rejuvenation treatments, it is important to use good quality products, which are appropriate for your skin type, to keep your skin healthy and looking its best between visits. This will help you maximize the results of your dermaplaning treatment. Dermaplaning at WIFH costs the same as microdermabrasion treatments: $150 for one treatment, $375 for a package of three, and $700 for a package of six.
