Meet Dr. Kulkin
Jay M. Kulkin, MD MBA FACOGDr. Jay Kulkin, Founder of WIFH in Atlanta, is an internationally recognized laser expert and is often invited to teach continuing medical education seminars in the U.S. and other countries. He creates much of the curriculum for many of these meetings used to teach doctors about laser techniques.
He is a Board Certified Gynecologist and is often quoted in the media and featured on a number of TV networks including CNN and CBS Atlanta on laser issues. He was recently featured on CNN in a story by Dr. Sanjay Gupta, Chief Medical Correspondent.
The Georgia Medical Board has had Dr. Kulkin do peer review work for them as well in an effort to assure quality care is provided in Georgia. As one of the countries experts in laser hair removal technique he is invited to lecture in an ever growing list of cities including Boston, Washington, DC, New York, Memphis, Nashville, St. Louis, Montreal, Los Angeles and Toronto.
He is a Fellow (the highest distinction achievable) of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery and is the former Executive Director of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Georgia Women's Health Program, which he was instrumental in creating. Dr. Kulkin is committed to bringing the latest advances in laser research to his patients.
Dr. Kulkin has been selected to serve on the Practice Management Committee of ACOG, former Vice-Chair of the American Association of Health Plans Women's Subcommittee and is a former member of the Georgia Governor's Office of Women's Health Leadership Think Tank. He has served on the Boards of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and the American Heart Association.He was appointed as a Fellow in the DHHS Medical Policy Program. This program is designed to create national policy to improve the quality of health care for all Americans. He presently trains doctors around the United States, Canada and other countries in his unique laser techniques which have made WIFH Atlanta's laser cosmetic leader.
